Sunday SchoolGROWING CHRISTIANS CLASS (9:30-10:30) - Family Life Center Room 2101 The name of this class indicates the desire of each person in the class – to continue to grow in faith, in relationship with Jesus Christ, and in understanding of the application of Biblical principles to daily living. Composed of couples and singles of all ages, the class format is discussion oriented. Curriculum includes direct study of a particular book of the Bible, thematic Bible study, and studies of Biblical approaches to life issues. INQUIRERS CLASS (9:30-10:30) - Family Life Center Room 1101 This class of retired couples and singles meets for the purpose of in-depth Bible study, but also enjoys the benefits of fellowship through personal friendships. In each week’s lesson, Scripture is studied verse by verse – looking at the context in which it was written and its application to our daily living. Class members provide care and support for one another as they move through life’s circumstances. NEW OUTLOOK CLASS (9:30-10:30) - Family Life Center Room 2107 There is a welcoming spirit in this class an open acceptance of each person’s contribution, and atmosphere of lively discussion each week. The class enjoys studying books by authors such as Bill Hybels, John Ortberg, James Moore, and others who focus on helping us live out God’s plan and purpose for each of our lives. Relationship with Christ and with each other remains the foundation of this class. FIRST JOY CLASS (9:45-10:45) - Family Life Center Room 2103 The majority of members of this class are our most chronologically mature adults who thrive on always learning new things, taking fresh approaches, and growing deeper in faith. The members of the class give each other great support and encouragement as they face both joys and challenges of life. The faith they share is deep and meaningful. PAIRS AND SPARES INTERNATIONAL CLASS (9:30-10:30) - Family Life Center Room 2106 This large class of middle – older adults studies the International Bible Lessons (Adult Bible Studies) through the teacher’s presentation and class discussion. The intent is to relate the Scripture to daily living in fresh and meaningful applications. The class also sponsors a monthly covered-dish dinner and Bible study on the third Tuesday of each month. Financial support of specific mission projects or of persons in need brings opportunity to reach beyond the bounds of the class itself. SEEKERS CLASS (9:30-10:30) - Family Life Center Room 2105 This class engages in Bible study by moving from book to book through the Bible over time. Study of selected portions of each book of the Bible provides an arena for discussion and life application. GROWING IN GRACE CLASS (11:00-12:00) - Family Life Center Room 1101 Lively discussion, supportive fellowship, and a desire to grow more Christ-like are foundational elements of this class of married couples and singles of all ages. Various Scripture-based curriculum is used that encourages exploration of God’s purpose and plan for our lives and how we live that out every day. Class members encourage each other in their faith journeys. SINGLES CLASS (11:00-12:00) This class is one part of our larger Singles Ministry (click here for more info on Singles). The Sunday morning coffee house setting, in room 2102, offers opportunity for small group discussions related to living as a Christian single (40’s and up). Scripture and faith-issue curriculum help these singles to find answers in a complicated world. |
