TRADITIONAL CHOIR

The Chancel Choir leads the congregation in singing the great hymns of our faith in traditional worship and enhances the services through anthems and other special music. This is a great way to use your God-given vocal talent or just to serve God as you learn to sing.

Meeting time: Rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 8:00 and/or 11:00 a.m.

CONTEMPORARY CHOIR

The Praise Choir accompanied by the Praise Band, leads the congregation at the contemporary worship services. They sing with joy, energy and devotion as they use God-given musical talent. Volunteer to sing in this group by making a commitment to attend rehearsals and have worshipping God as your goal.

Meeting time: Rehearsals on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 6:00 or Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

USHERS, GREETERS & CAMPUS GREETERS

These people make everyone who enters feel welcome, and encourage visitors to make BUMC their church home. Volunteer to serve on a rotating basis or every week at the service of your choice.

ALTAR GUILD

Members help prepare or serve Communion, one of our most beautiful celebrations. They also take care of sanctuary paraments and other altarware. Time commitment is flexible.

ACOLYTES

Children in grades 3-5 light the candles at traditional worship to bring forth the light that symbolizes the spirit of God into the Sanctuary. Serve once a month at 8:30 or 11:00.

PARKING
The Parking Ministry at BUMC is a 1 hour, 1 day a week ministry, comprised of a group of men and women. Our mission is to make a positive first-contact experience for those who come to our campus on Sunday mornings. We seek to provide that atmosphere by helping individuals, couples and families locate a safe and convenient parking space.

DRAMA

Worship is enhanced by drama sketches that undergird the message from God’s Word. This ministry also assists with special events. Skills and talents in acting, writing, and creativity, are used to glorify God.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Instrumental music is an important part of both traditional and contemporary worship, and is also used in special events. Persons who play instruments are encouraged to volunteer their talents to be used in the place that is most appropriate for the instrument and skill level. This gift of talent is a way to glorify God.

PRODUCTION

Production Ministries handle the technical support for all church services including weekend, seasonal and special events. Those who serve in this ministry have a heart to work mostly behind the scenes, knowing that their time, skill and efforts have made some aspect of the production operate more efficiently. The production ministries include; media arts, video, administration, audio, lighting, staging, set building, producing and other production related areas.
