What We Believe
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. Nothing in creation "just happened". God made it all. The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living and truth. It is the primary source for what we believe and do. Humanity was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated through sinful disobedience. As a result, human beings are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own effort alone. Jesus is God showing Himself to us. He lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. One's acceptance of God's grace in Jesus Christ is the only means for salvation. Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us. Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God. Heaven and hell are real places. Death is the beginning, not the end. The church is to glorify God, and to serve people like Jesus served people. Every Christian should live for Christ and not for him/herself. By obedience to God's Word and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. Jesus is coming again.
