1.     Children enjoy having a routine—going to bed at the same time each night and waking up around the same time each morning.  Class begins at 9:00 a.m.  It is very important that your child be here when the other children arrive.  When children come in late, they know they’ve missed that special time in the classroom.

2.     A good night’s sleep is very important along with a healthy breakfast!

3.     If your child is staying for lunch, please send lunches that are nutritious, simple, and easy to handle. They should be well balanced (sandwich, fruit, fresh veggies, milk or juice, etc.)  Please limit the amount of “snack food” and items that have a lot of sugar.  No soft drinks are allowed.

4.     Remember, candy is not allowed at school unless it is for a special event (holidays, etc.)

5.     On warm, sunny days, please put sunscreen on your child’s face and arms to protect delicate skin.

6.     If you suspect your child is sick, please keep him/her home (for the child’s sake and the sake of the other children at school) until he/she is well.  Please refer to the “Health Policy” page for more information.
