BUMC Single Adults – Monday Night Gathering – Are you Single, Widowed, Divorced and looking for a group of like-minded Christians to fellowship with and a setting where you can grow in your Christian walk?  Then please join us each Monday Night where we gather for refreshments and fellowship from 7:00-7:30, then move into the three small groups from 7:30 till 8:30. Come meet some old friends and make some new friends, and then let’s walk this Christian journey together in a study group. See you there!

SUMMER SERIES

The Bible is a story about the redemption of mankind. It is about a God that goes to great lengths to reconnect with His children. The Once Upon a Time series will discuss eight different people in the Bible and help you better understand how each section of the Bible explains God’s love for us and His desire to have a relationship with each of us.

July 14 – When God Went Public – (Moses – Passover) Have we forgotten about the power, mercy and grace of God? Is there something within us that in our moments of sinfulness or holiness, we look to God expecting rejection or acceptance based on our actions? We have been freely given God’s acceptance through the shed blood of Jesus.

July 21 – Our Picture of God? – (David – Passion) David lived during a time when there were hundreds of strict religious rules, yet he was a man of passion. Emotions and distraction did not keep David from having a passionate relationship with God.  As David wrote the Psalm 36, God is loving faithful, righteous and just. Why wouldn’t we want to have a relationship with Him?

July 28 – The Last King – (Zedekiah – Pride) When we turn away from God and decide to do things our own way, His goal is to regain our attention and affection. The best thing God can do to win us back is to let us experience the consequences of our actions. This message challenges us to give our life back to God and to do things His way.

August 4 – The Good News – (Jesus – Payment) The ministry of Jesus on earth is the culmination of the entire story of the Bible since Adam. The blood of Jesus is the final payment for our sins. This is God’s new covenant with us.

August 11, 18, & 25 – will be a break in the series for a Movie Review by John Webber and then finish up in a Small or Large Group setting in September.
