HART FELT MINISTRIES, INC.
Hartfelt is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Beach UMC member, Jane Hart. It provides at no charge, through a network of community volunteers, non-medical support services and companionship tailored to the needs of frail elderly and disabled adults who require practical assistance to live independently. Launched in 2004, this faith-based ministry already serves over 140 clients throughout Jacksonville with friendly visits, errands and grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, respite care, help with chores and minor home repairs, and the construction of wheelchair ramps. Volunteers are screened, trained, insured, and given their choice of a variety of assignments, locales, and times for service.
