SMALL GROUPS

The Small Group Ministry at Beach exists to connect groups of people on a regular basis to intentionally grow authentic Christ-like relationships. It is our vision to see every person connected through small groups. We seek to accomplish this through constant emphasis on our six Core Values of: Life change, Relationships, Participation, Mentoring, Care, and Growth. WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER TEAM
Consider joining the Wednesday Night Dinner program. This is a great evening of dining and activities for all ages. It all starts at 5:00 p.m. with Chef Eddie slicing and dicing, mincing, mashing and preparing something delightfully hot and fresh. Join the volunteer teams: preparation, setting the dining room, serving, cleaning up. It’s an excellent way to get to know the folks at Beach – and not a bad midweek break from your kitchen. It’s all part of belonging at Beach! Join the Team…”Just Serving Up a Little of God’s Love.”

SINGLES MINISTRY

Our Singles Ministry is designed primarily for persons who are single, widowed, or divorced in the 35+ age group. The elements of the ministry are Monday Night Live (Bible study and fellowship), Sunday School class, 4^th Friday fun events, and support and encouragement through small groups. Volunteer to serve as a group leader, Bible study teacher, member of the planning council, office assistance, and other short-term service.

Meeting time: Mondays at 7:00; Sundays at 11:00 a.m.; 4^th Fridays

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN (UMW)

Our Mission is to encourage women to participate in circles (small groups), and women’s events; and support world and local missions.  We offer a number of small groups for women of all stages in life with opportunities to share in bible study, learn a new craft such as quilting or knitting, and assist in ministry and mission projects. We also have numerous events throughout the year especially for women.

EMMAUS

Emmaus is a spiritual renewal movement that includes a weekend retreat followed by weekly meeting with an accountability group.  You’ll experience the love of God and others in a dynamic way that changes your life forever.  Persons interested in participating in this ministry are invited to make their desire known.

UMM

The Beach United Methodist Men are a service organization whose purpose is to support the Ministries and Missions of the Church through funds and acts of service.

FUSION

A Young Adult Ministry for single and married people ages 20-35 that offers opportunity to fellowship and grow closer through Sunday School, Small Group, and fun activities.

CONNECT

College-age students are invited to this encouraging and supportive small group ministry. Bible study, discussions about real life issues, fellowship, food and fun are what you will enjoy. Come join others your age who want to live for Christ during this challenging time of life.

COMMUNICATIONS
Communications Ministry is here to support the church by using media tools, technology and volunteers to creatively and powerfully present opportunities for ministry to our members and the greater community. Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities: desktop publishers, clerically gifted individuals, graphic designers and creative business types with communication experience.

SHEPHERD COMMITTEE

The Shepherd Committee welcomes and provides personalized assistance to our new members as they make their transition into active Christian fellowship, service and church membership.  Beach 101 is a monthly informational class offered to potential members, where the Shepherd Committee greets, welcomes and provides information about BUMC. Once individuals have joined BUMC, we write a personal note and call members encouraging them to get involved. If you have the gift of hospitality and encouragement, we invite you to be part of our team. We also need behind-the-scene workers to assist in assembling materials.
