Denise was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her degree of music from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. Denise married Jerry Sweat 21 ½ years ago. Denise and Jerry have 3 children: Ryan, Ashley, and Lindsey. Denise has taught vocal/choral music in both public and private schools. She has also taught voice and piano lessons. While living in Miami, Florida, she was the director of the Miami Children's Choir. Denise has served in music ministry for over 20 years, leading children, youth, and adults. She has helped lead women's retreats through worship in Leesburg and other areas of Florida. She has served both as traditional choir director and worship leader in contemporary worship. Denise enjoys reading, talking, cooking, home decorating, spending time with family and friends, singing and listening to music, and vacations anywhere.
