Beaches Habitat for Humanity

Do you believe that you missed something this summer?

· Did you pass on that opening to go with the team to Costa Rica?

· Did you wish that you could have participated in the outreach of Sold Out?

· Did you overlook an occasion to get involved with the Jamaica Mission Trip?

· Did you miss the chance to work with 300+ kids in our week-long VBS?

Well, not to worry! First, because He tells us not to worry, and second, because our Lord continuously provides us with unlimited opportunities for our service with others, and to those in need. Those people who need what you have to offer and what you have to give.

Would you like a prospect of working with others on a very important mission trip?

Would you like the timing of this mission trip be tailored to your schedule? This would be a short duration trip not involving a lot of time, but would be very beneficial to those receiving the fruits of your labor.

Would you like a mission that your whole small group can do together?

Would you like something that does not require a large financial commitment? This is something that just requires your “servant’s heart”. Your efforts consist of a lot of fun, joy and laughter, the true sense of accomplishment, and maybe a little bit of sweat.

Would you consider a “mini-mission trip” with life-long consequences for all involved?

Would you like to come together, in His Name, with other First Coast churches and ministries?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then you are invited to consider a volunteer opportunity offered on this year’s Habitat Build, Apostles Build II & III.

Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville Beaches, Beach United Methodist Church together with eight other churches and ministries from the Beaches has joined to sponsor this joint effort to construct homes for two families at the Beach. Now is your opportunity to offer your services in His Kingdom-work on the First Coast.

This year’s Build begins with a “Wall Raising” Service on Saturday, August 19, 2006. You are invited to join in the celebration, the volunteer sign-ups and a pot-luck lunch.

Here is an opportunity that you do not want to pass by. Get involved. There are plenty of opportunities for involvement. Get your neighbors involved; get your Small Group involved.

Plan your Habitat Mission Trip for some Tuesday or Saturday in 2006 or early 2007,
but don’t forget the “Wall Raising” on Saturday, August 19, 2006. We will see you there.
