Morning Activities

STRETCH ‘N GROW

Stretch-N-Grow is designed to promote exercise and wellness for children where each child can learn the importance of physical activity and healthy habits.  Coach Sandi will come to our school on Mondays and Thursdays, and each class will join her in a 30-minute fitness routine once a week.  During each session, she will teach the basics of exercise along with safety, nutrition and self-esteem.  All children will be able to participate.  A small fee will be added to your child’s tuition.  We welcome Ms. Sandi to our school!

FIELD TRIPS

During the year, the three and four-year-old classes will go on several field trips that are located within ten miles of the school.  Permission slips must be signed by the parent or guardian and returned to the teacher before a child is permitted to leave the school grounds.  If permission is not granted, the child must remain at home on the day of the field trip.  Florida law requires that every child three years old or under 40 lbs. be in a car seat.  Parents will transport the children to and from each field trip (teachers are not allowed to transport any children).  Examples of field trips are: fire station, parks, bakery, library, beach, grocery store, pet store, etc.

CHAPEL

Chapel is held once a week on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Children in the 3 and 4-year-old classes are invited to participate.  Chapel time lasts fifteen minutes and includes prayer, pledge to the flag, Christian songs, and a Bible story or value lesson.
